William and Kate find Harry and Meghan drama ‘too painful’ to discuss – focus on ‘peace’

KATE, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William “position” the drama with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to one side as it’s “not their responsibility” to respond to the allegations made by the couple.

Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge have opted for “peace and tranquility” in the wake of their fallout with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. According to royal expert Stewart Pearce, the couple would have found the Oprah Winfrey interview “too painful” to openly discuss and choose to ignore the “crazy” stories that are often circulated about them.

When asked if the couple reflects on their relationship with the Sussexes, Stewart Pearce told Royally Us: “It’s too painful, those things that are crazy we leave them where they are because we know that after all, if we go into the body of what that invective is all about, it really stings.

“There’s so much of it, it’s not that William and Kate leave all of the controversies about Harry and Meghan alone, they feel it but what they do is just simply position it there because after all, it’s not their responsibility to be involved in verbalising anything.

“What they do is simply offer as much peace and tranquility and calm as possible.”

Whilst Prince Harry and Meghan have spoken publicly about their experiences within the Royal Family, William and Kate have followed royal protocol and have remained silent.

Rumours of a rift between the two couples began to circulate as early as 2018, however it is only since the outcome of Megxit that the rift has been exposed.

In October 2018, the Sussexes decided to split from their joint Royal Foundation with the Cambridges, and moved away from Kensington Palace.

A story also emerged in the press that Kate had been left in tears after a dispute with Meghan over a flower girl dress for Princess Charlotte.

Later, in their interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry suggested that jealousy was the root cause of the issue, after The Firm noticed Meghan’s “natural” talent at public duties in their South Pacific tour.

The move was said to have ‘blindsided’ certain senior royals and left Buckingham Palace scrambling to negotiate a ‘Megxit’ deal to ensure the couple’s financial independence.

Since then, the couple have conducted a number of high-profile interviews where they have criticised their royal relatives.

Allegations included the Royal Family ignoring Meghan’s mental health, denying their son both a title and security, and that an unnamed senior member of the Royal Family made a racist remark.

He also attacked Prince Charles for not taking his phone calls and said he felt “really let down” by his handling of the situation.

In a later interview with Dax Shephard, he criticised his father’s parenting skills, suggesting that measures weren’t taken to protect William and Harry from the press when they were younger.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle spoke about her relationship with Kate, and stated that it was in fact Kate who had made her cry in a tiff before the royal wedding.

Despite the Duchess of Cambridge sending her well-wishes at the birth of the Sussexes daughter Lilibet, and Harry and William displaying a united front at the funeral of Prince Philip, reconciliatory talks have reportedly been unproductive.
