Kate Middleton before Prince William: Exes and previous relationships REVEALED
WITH Kate and Prince William expecting their third child, it is hard to imagine a time before the royal romance. But who are Kate’s exes?
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied in the knot in 2011 and have enjoyed six years of happily married life during which they have welcomed two children into the world.
But before Kate married Prince William, there was a time when the brunette beauty had different partners.
So who are the mysterious men in Kate’s past before she settled down with her Prince Charming?
Kate Middleton and Willem Marx
Kate Middleton dated Willem Marx during her time at Marlborough College. “He was her first love,” one of his friends told the Telegraph.
The Willem, now 34, went on to become a London-based reporter for CNBC, covering geopolitical and company news across Europe including Brexit, US-Europe relations and international security.
Willem is also now married to brunette Italian TV presenter Johanna Botta, who he has one son with, has dual UK and Netherlands citizenship and speaks French and Italian.
Kate Middleton and Henry Ropner
During Kate and William’s brief separation in 2007, it was rumoured Kate was dating Henry Ropner.
The 35-year-old is now married and was last spotted attending the same wedding as Kate and William in Somerset in 2012.
His family own a £33.7 million shipping management firm and he is married to Natasha Sinclair, a businessman’s daughter.
Kate Middleton and Rupert Finch
Rupert Finch was in his final year studying law at St Andrews when he met Kate. They ended up dating for less than a year.
His parents’ farm is on land in Norfolk owned by William’s uncle, Earl Spencer.
He is now a solicitor in London and married to the Marquess of Reading’s daughter, Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs.
She and a friend run a fashion company called Beulah London, which helps women who have escaped sex trade in India.
How did Kate and Prince William meet?
It is widely thought that the couple met at St Andrews University. But according to a royal biographer, this is may not be the case.
Kate Nicholl made the suggestion in her book Kate: The Future Queen, which cites interviews with school friends.
She explained: “I was speaking to some of her friends at Marlborough School, which was where she went before St. Andrews, and they said, ‘She didn’t meet him at St. Andrews. She met him before she got there…through some of her friends. They knew Prince William and Prince Harry’.”
