William and Kate kicked off their royal tour of Poland when they touched down in Warsaw’s Chopin Airport just after 1.30pm local time.

Little Charlotte instantly stole the show with a royal wave and charmed the crowds in an adorable red frock.

Prince George meanwhile seemed much more reluctant to leave the plane as he stepped outside tightly holding onto William’s hand.

The Duke and Duchess have since been greeted at the Presidential Palace where they had breakfast with President Andzrej Duda and his wife.

The royal tour takes place on request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and will help develop and strenghten relations as Britain heads towards Brexit.

6.30pm: Prince William was handed a traditional Polish sabre as part of a collection of exquisite gifts from Presdent Duda and his wife.

“This is a gift for the soldier and for the man,” Mr Duda said as he handed over the First World War blade.

“I’ll make sure George doesn’t get his hands on that,” William jokingly replied.

5.20pm: The cheerful Duchess joked about having another baby after she was handed a gift made for newborn children.

The mother-of-two was handed a cuddly “Whisbear” teddybear, designed to comfort infants by mimicking the sound of the womb.

When thanking for the gift, Kate said: “We will just have to have more babies.”

4.40pm: Kate and William have met with young entrepreneurs on top of the Warsaw Spire, where several tech companies and start-ups are based.

The meeting was part of the “Warsaw-London bridge” project, which aims to forge cooperation between companies from Poland and Britain.

One of the companies based in the Warsaw Spire is Azimo – a multimillion pound firm employing over 100 people in London and Krakow.

3.59pm: William and Kate have concluded their visit to the Warsaw Uprising Museum, where they had a chance to meet the museum’s director and staff.

The royal couple also paid tribute to the fallen heroes of the uprising and met with Polish and British Wold War Two heroes.

William and Kate laid a lit candel under bell on a wall of rememberance listing those who fell in the heroic conflict.

The Warsaw Uprising was a major military movement in 1944 to liberate the occupied city from the hands of the German army.

Dozens of onlookers gathered outside the museum to welcome the Duke and Duchess.

Shortly after arriving at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, the Duke and Duchess began their tour with a late breakfast.

After their meal they went on a short stroll through the Palace’s gardens where William was spotted chatting with the First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda.
