There, she joined a Year 8 science lesson discussing neuroscience and the importance of early childhood development.
This visit was strictly linked to Kate’s work on the early years and how important they are in development.
But it was Kate’s style that created the conversation surrounding her visit.
According to global fashion marketplace, ‘Love The Sales’, Kate’s appearance caused a 317 percent rise in demand for ‘Hobbs Coat’.
She also caused a 103 percent rise in fashion searches for ‘Pink Turtlenecks’.
Her appearance also caused a 52 percent rise in demand for ‘Pink Coats’.
The Duchess’ brightly coloured suit was remarkably similar to outfits worn in the past by another Duchess.
Moreover, according to some royal fans, Kate’s style has recently been emulating that of Meghan Markle’s. ,
For instance, Meghan has worn a similarly coloured suit when visiting a school in Harlem, New York on September 24 to promote her book ‘The Bench’.
The Duchess of Sussex wore a red suit, featuring a matching top.
Kate’s style on November 24 was similar, as she wore a Hobbs London fuchsia coat in a ‘Tilda Wool’ style for her surprise outing in Harrow.
She paired the matching Hobbs London coat and jumper with some black tailored trousers and suede black stiletto heels.
Twitter user @fletchert wrote: “Kate is dressing more and more like Meghan. Very weird.”
Another fan, @kimmywondercup said: “They really didn’t even try to be subtle about Kate’s style revamp.
“Even her jewellery, they modernised. I’ve never seen Kate layering her necklaces before Meghan.”
Royal fan Peter Donnelly commented saying: “Kate is yet to find a stylist who understands what looks good on her.
“It’s like they try to dress her like young Queen Elizabeth and then copy Meghan’s style.
“She needs to find what defines her. She should focus on being Kate and bring her own authenticity to her position.”
Daena Borrowman, Marketing Manager at jewellerybox, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about Kate’s fuchsia outfit, and whether or not she thinks Kate was inspired by Meghan’s style.
“The Duchess paired a fuchsia pink Hobbs ‘Tilda Wool Coat’, worth £224.25, with a matching Hobbs ‘Lara Merino Wool Roll Neck Jumper’ worth £56.25 and a pair of black cigarette trousers.
“She completed her outfit with a pair of classic Gianvito Rossi pumps in suede navy, worth £560 and the Daniella Draper ‘Gold Diamond Luxury Maxi Cupid Hoop Earrings’ worth more than the rest of her outfit combined, at £2,450.
“As with all of her daytime engagements, the hard-working royal stuck to natural makeup and fuss-free waves.
“Though the internet has likened her look to the Duchess of Sussex’s style, both Duchesses have proved that the formula to a sensational workday outfit is centred around a strong coat combined with unpretentious wardrobe staples.”
