As the Duke of Sussex prepares to lay his beloved grandfather to rest, royal watchers have pointed out the undeniable similarities between the two generations. A photo of the Duke of Edinburgh which appeared on the cover of the Paris Match magazine in 1975 shows the Queen’s husband in the Tropical Dress of the Blues and Royals.

When the snap was taken the Duke was 36 – the same age Harry is today.
Compared with a photo of Prince Harry in the same uniform, royal fans insisted there is no denying the strong family resemblance.
One said: “Harry looks so much like Philip.”
Another commented: “I’ve always thought Harry resembles his grandfather and this photo is proof why.”

And yet a third told of how they “totally did a double take thinking it was Harry.”
A copy of the magazine cover was posted on Instagram by Getty photographer Chris Jackson.
The snapper has photographed multiple members of the Royal Family down through the years including most recently the Queen and Prince Philip on their 73rd wedding anniversary last year.
The snap of Harry dressed in white military attire was taken during his and Meghan’s royal tour of Australia in 2018.

Besides their similar features, the pictures show both men adopted a similar beard style.
The then 34-year-old prince donned the uniform for Anzac memorial commemorations in Sydney’s Hyde Park.
Social media users were quick to offer their assessment of Harry’s resemblance to his father’s father.
One said: “You can see the resemblance Harry has to Prince Philip here.
“I think this is what Harry will look like when he’s 50.”
Harry touched down in the UK on Monday morning and went into isolation ahead of Philip’s funeral on Saturday.
He is believed to be staying at Frogmore Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The house served as his and Meghan’s marital home during their time as working royals.
The couple moved into the residence in the run up to the birth of their son Archie in May 2019.
The Queen and Prince Philip were married for more than 73 years After stepping down from royal life and moving to the US they paid back the £2.4 million they took from taxpayers to renovate the cottage.
Meghan, 39, chose to stay behind in Santa Barbara as the doctors advised her not to travel.
The Duchess of Sussex is heavily pregnant with her second baby, a girl, due this summer.
