Sophie’s husband Edward is 12th in line to the throne while her children James Viscount Severn, 13, and Lady Louise Windsor, 17, are 13th and 14th.

Unlike other titles, this award is made solely at the Queen’s discretion and not at the recommendation of the Government.
Kate is understood to have received the award personally from the Queen as thanks for her services to the sovereign.
The title is presented for services to the crown and reveals the Queen’s high opinion of high-profile female members of the monarchy.
Royal women to hold the title currently include Kate and Sophie, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Anne.
Kate and William’s 10th wedding anniversary is coming up later this month and has prompted speculation the Queen could choose to honour the Duchess with a new royal award.
Ahead of the milestone, royal expert Duncan Larcombe told OK! Magazine: “It’s highly likely she’ll be planning a special secret something to honour Kate’s 10 years in the royal family—something she can do to mark it.”
He added: “Kate and the Queen have a fantastic relationship.
“Kate strikes that balance between bowing to her as head of the royal family in public but being able to check in with her as the great-grandmother to her children.”

Kate and Prince William were among the 30 guests to attend Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday.
Following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s departure from the Fold last, Kate and Sophie’s unwavering support of the crown is more vital than ever.
Discussing the Countess of Wessex’s burgeoning role within the Royal Family, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: “Sophie has become extremely close to the Queen who spends a great deal of time with her and she will be a great comfort during this sad period.
“Her quiet dedication to royal duties is approved of by the Queen, who also enjoys watching films and discussing military history with her.
“Her early indiscretions are long past, she is one of the monarchy’s trump cards both at present and in future years.”
