According to Court Circular entries, Prince Edward, 57, took part in an International Council Meeting in his role as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Sophie, 56, visited the Halow Project, which provides opportunities and support for young people in Guildford, Surrey.

Edward and Sophie, with Lady Louise Windsor, 17, and James, Viscount Severn, 13, have over the years enjoyed ski breaks in St Moritz, Switzerland and trips to the island of Espalmador, a tiny privately-owned island located just to the north of Formentera, Spain.

It is unknown what the family-of-four was up to during their last holiday.

However, it is thought the Wessexes could be preparing for Lady Louise’s 18th birthday this month, and that some key conversations could have been held among the youngster and her parents.

Lady Louise, who is expected to complete her A-level qualification next year, came into the spotlight with her appearance in the BBC documentary Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers, where she paid tribute to her late grandfather, who died in April at the age of 99.

Several members of the Royal Family starred in it, but it was Louise’s first television interview – making it a particularly special moment.

Louise was praised for how confidently she expressed herself when sharing her fond memories of Prince Philip, which, alongside her growing responsibilities within the Royal Family, has led to speculations about her future as a royal, with the British public wondering whether or not she will take on the Her Royal Highness (HRH) title.

When her parents Prince Edward and Sophie got married in 1999, Buckingham Palace announced their children would not be styled as prince or princess.

Speaking to The Sunday Times in 2020, the Countess said: “We try to bring them up with the understanding they are very likely to have to work for a living.

“Hence we made the decision not to use HRH titles.

“They have them and can decide to use them from 18, but I think it’s highly unlikely.”

With Louise’s birthday only a couple of weeks away, she will soon have to make key decisions in that regard, and curious royals fans are already looking forward to knowing more about th teenager’s intentions on November 8.

While the countdown for the eldest daughter of the Wessexes’ birthday is on, the rest of the Royal Family is still deep into COP26

The Queen, to whom Lady Louise is known to be close thanks to frequent visits to Balmoral Castle over the summers, has been praised for her video appearance at the climate summit.

She addressed world leaders virtually after doctors ordered her to rest for at least two weeks following a recent health scare and hospital visit.

But even through a screen, Her Majesty impressed with her words – and how she delivered them. Speaking of Prince Philip, she said: “It is a source of great pride to me that the leading role my husband played in encouraging people to protect our fragile planet lives on through the work of our eldest son Charles and his eldest son William.

“I could not be more proud of them.”
