Harry and Meghan first used their children’s titles Prince Archie Harrison and  as part of their one-year-old daughter’s christening announcement.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed: “The children’s titles have been a birthright since their grandfather became monarch. This matter has been settled for some time in alignment with Buckingham Palace.”

However, GB News commentator Mr Parsons criticised the couple’s decision to use their children’s titles as “hypocrisy”. He told Express.co.uk: “It’s this vast hypocrisy with them. I just feel you can criticise the Royal Family to Oprah Winfrey or in your book or in your Netflix documentary.

“You can mock the traditions of the Royal Family and criticise it as much as you can. Then you’re happy for your children to bestow these titles and therefore be affiliated with the Royal Family. Just choose, be fair and have some integrity.”

He also suggested that it “lacks authenticity” and that they should willingly renounce their dukedom. He said: “If I were [Harry] and I detested the royals I would do my best to distance myself from the Royal Family.

“I would give up the Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles and not give my children any royal titles. They’re not doing that. To me, it lacks authenticity.”
