Royals turning into ‘tacky’ reality show as family dubbed ‘British Kardashians’ by TV star

EXCLUSIVE: The Royal Family have been branded the “British Kardashians” by Apprentice star Ryan-Mark Parsons as he claimed the monarchy is fast going “downhill”.

Ryan-Mark Parsons has suggested the members of the Royal Family have been attempting to Keep Up With The Kardashians as he likened them to a “tacky” reality series.

It comes after a series of controversies surrounding the royals have made global headlines from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix series to King Charles’s political views.

The former Apprentice star has claimed the royals are losing their “magic and mystery” and have instead opted for “puerile and farcical” behaviour.

“They have become the British Kardashians,” he said. “I had so much admiration for the royal family when Queen Elizabeth II was alive.”

Ryan-Mark went on: “It’s like if you watch an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, or whatever it’s called now, Kim and Kourtney are seen fighting. Then you get to see that playing on camera. We have more or less of that.”

The GB News commentator recalled a “slapping incident” between sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian which he likened to the fight between Harry and his brother Prince William.

In early 2019, on the grounds of Harry’s cottage at Kensington Palace, the brothers got into a shouting match over what he says were inaccurate stories in the tabloid press about Meghan, and the Duke of Sussex says William pushed him and he landed on a dog bowl, as detailed in his book Spare.

“[The Kardashians] is trashy American TV and I can see the correlation between Prince Harry and Prince William fighting with Harry being slammed into the floor,” Ryan-Mark remarked. “It’s so puerile, it’s so tacky. As soon as they become tacky and farcical, they don’t hold their value. That’s where the taxpayer, who is funding them, will turn.”

He continued: “I feel we have learned too much recently and that is all because of Meghan and Harry. If they showed more restraint and they hadn’t done the interviews, the documentary or write this book.

“It opens up about the whole family when it should be quite mysterious. They should be quite illusive.

“If he hadn’t done all of that I think they would have retained what the Queen managed to do so well for decades. It’s going downhill. ”

Meghan and Harry sat down with Oprah Winfrey in 2020 and they have since released their Netflix docuseries, a memoir, with Harry doing several press run interviews about his autobiography.

Ryan-Mark also admitted he is not a “big fan” of King Charles who he branded “very political”.

The TV star said: “[Charles] is very open about Rwanda and what the government is doing about immigrants. He speaks about the environment a lot and he has been more vocal than the Queen.

He added: “I think he is also marred by a lot of controversies as well, especially with everything that happened with Diana and Camilla. Now this whole ongoing situation with Harry and Meghan. I think it has diluted the speciality of the family.”

The Apprentice star added he believes they’ve “lost the royal spark” but is hopeful Prince William and Kate Middleton could potentially help “modernise” the royals.

Meanwhile, King Charles has joined Queen Consort Camilla on a three-day tour of Germany.
