Royal wedding 2019: Lady Gabriella Windsor’s SHOCKING connection to Kate Middleton

LADY Gabriella Windsor is 51st in line to the throne – but she has an even more surprising connection to the Royals through Kate, Duchess of Cambridge.

Lady Gabriella’s marriage to Thomas Kingston was announced on Saturday, lining up the first royal wedding of 2019. The pair will wed in St George’s Chapel, the same Windsor venue Meghan Markle and Prince Harry chose to tie the knot in May 2018. Buckingham Palace announced the news, only confirming the wedding date would be some time in the spring.

Lady Gabriella Windsor is the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, paternal first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II.

While she’s 51st in line to the throne, she has a much more interesting connection to the Royals.

Her fiancee, financier Thomas Kingston, used to date Pippa Middleton.

That’s right – the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s younger sister!

According to the Daily Mail, Thomas and Pippa dated back in 2011.

But things don’t seem to be too awkward between the exes – Gabriella and Thomas were even invited to Pippa’s wedding to James Matthews in 2017.

Perhaps we could see Kate and Prince William on the guest list – only a few senior royals are expected to attend.

The wedding will be a private affair, and won’t be televised like Meghan and Harry’s.

And it doesn’t look like the Queen will make an appearance.

Royal author Robert Jobson told Express.co.uk the Queen is not likely to attend as “it may be a bit distant”.

M Jobson said he expects the wedding to be more in line with that of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.

Eugenie and Jack were also married in St George’s Chapel last year, but it was a more pared back occasion than Meghan and Harry’s.

He said: “I would expect it to be in the lines of a scaled down Princess Eugenie wedding.”

However, Eugenie and Jack did have their wedding televised and a public carriage procession.

Following the trend favoured by the young royals last year, Gabriella – who goes by ‘Ella’ and Thomas will have their reception at Frogmore House.

Eugenie and Jack are likely to be in attendance, as the engaged couple were invited to their wedding in October.

Meghan and Harry re less likely to attend – not least because they are expecting their first baby in the spring!
