PRINCESS DIANA is an iconic figure. A new documentary aired last night on Channel 4 about her relationship with her stepmother Raine Spencer. It also revealed how the Princess of Wales was branded a ‘prostitute’ by her own mother.
Princess Diana tragically died in August 1997 aged 36. News of the fatal car accident in Paris shocked the world and caused heartbreak for the Royal Family. Also killed in the accident was Diana’s boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, who was 42 at the time of the accident. Dodd was the son of Egyptian billionaire Mohamed El Fayed.

A new documentary has revealed how Diana was shockingly branded a “prostitute” in an Islamophobic tirade by her own mother thanks to her relationship with the heir.
Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler spoke out in the Channel 4 documentary last night.
The documentary looked into Diana’s relationship with Raine Spencer, her stepmother.
In Princess Diana’s ‘Wicked’ Stepmother, Paul recalled overhearing a telephone call between Diana and her mother Frances Shand Kydd after her new relationship came to light.
Paul said: “(Diana) said come and have a listen to this, and her mother was berated her for being seeing around with Muslim men.”
The former employee of the Royal Family revealed Diana was in tears thanks to the phone call.
He told viewers Diana’s mother said to her daughter: “You’re nothing but a prostitute and a whore, that’s what I’ve brought up, a prostitute.”
He added that Diana told him: “Paul, I’ll never speak to my mummy again as long as I live.”
Frances Shand Kydd died in June 2004.
She was the first wife of John Spencer, Viscount Althorp.
However, they divorced in 1967. Frances then went on to marry Peter Shand Kydd.
Paul previously revealed how Kate Middleton has been given something by the Royal Family Princess Diana never had.
Speaking in Amazon Prime documentary The Diana Story he said: “Kate’s a very lucky woman because she has something which Diana never had.”
“With that strength behind her, she can go the distance. She can go all the way. She doesn’t need anything else.”
He added that Kate has “the love and support of the Royal Family”.
