Royal baby boy: Kay Burley makes UNBELIEVABLE jibe in Kate Middleton birth on live TV

Kay Burley made an incredibly awkward comment about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s newborn baby boy this afternoon merely seconds after she received the announcement on live television, and viewers were stunned.

The Duchess was admitted with Prince William shortly before 6am in the “early stages” of labour so crews were camped out awaiting news of the safe arrival.

As Kate gave birth to a healthy baby boy at 11.01am, Kensington Palace took to their official Twitter account to announce the happy news, just as Kay was in the middle of her broadcast.

Calling out to the camera people to begin setting up for their next shots, Kay was suddenly interrupted by the news from the studio.

Revealing the baby had been born at 8lbs 7oz, Sky News’ royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills started informing the rest of the details to the eager public.

Excited by the announcement, Kay exclaimed: “Oh yeah, thank you! It’s a boy, it’s a boy!”

But in an odd turn of events, Kay continued to voice her opinion about the birth.

“Oh, it was a porker again!” She said.

Grinning to the camera, Kay seemed to have no qualms about sharing her thoughts with viewers.

Yet many were shocked by the journalist’s brazen comments about the royal baby.

Expressing their feelings on social media, one viewer said: “Did I hear that right Kay Burley just called the the arrival of the prince as ‘another little porker’.”

“‘Another porker.’ #isntsheadelight #royalbaby3,” another wrote.

A third posted: “Why does Kay Burley keep saying the #royalbaby is a ‘porker’ and a ‘beast’???? 8lb is average nowadays for babies.”

While a fourth added: “Kay Burley said he was a porker which I thought was rude.”

Other fans were enjoying Kay’s excitement about the news however.

One person shared: “Like shrieking giggling schoolgirls @KayBurley and the lady with you ….#skynews.”

“@KayBurley I’ve been watching @SkyNews since this morning when Kate went into labour. Kay, you are doing a great job! It’s so exciting!” another added.

Since the initial announcement, Prince William has been seen leaving the hospital to go and pick up his children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Bringing them back to meet their new brother, William beamed to the waiting press and fans.

Then in an adorable twist little Charlotte kept turning back to wave to the crowd as they entered the building.

The family are expected to pose for the new baby’s first official photograph later today.
