REVEALED: The REAL reason Queen cried at Remembrance service
The Queen showed a rare display of emotion by crying last weekend – and Daily Star Online can reveal why.
Her Majesty could only watch from a balcony as son Prince Charles took over her role at the Remembrance service.
The Prince of Wales laid the wreath – a duty the Queen had carried out for decades – at the Cenotaph in London in front of a huge TV audience.
But as if the beginning of his journey to King wasn’t eye-opening enough, the next scene certainly left the public gasping.
Because in a rare display of emotion, the Queen cried.
She was pictured wiping away a tear that strolled down her cheek as she gave up her “usual stoic facial expression”.

And a body language expert has revealed to Daily Star Online the exact reason she thinks Her Majesty’s brave face gave way to tears.
Judi James told us: “The Queen is never given to displays of emotion in public but her tears as she watched the Cenotaph memorial from the stands rather than down on the pitch signalled the many pressures she must have been under.
“Not only did she see the veterans from a view that must have put their numbers into context but she was also watching her son act as her replacement while she is still alive, a dreadfully poignant view of the future that thankfully us lesser mortals rarely get confronted with.”

Judi said the frail look of her husband Prince Philip, who struggled to stand next to her and had to lean against a wall, also added to the Queen’s emotions.
Describing how the Queen struggled to contain her emotions, Judi said: “The Queen stepped out onto the balcony tentatively, possibly aware of the wave of emotions that must have been about to engulf her when she saw the view below.
“She managed her usual stoic facial expression for several minutes, standing with her eyes dipped and her mouth pulled into a firm mouth-clamp that suggested she was struggling with her feelings
“Her slight head tilt as they played the national anthem could have been an attempt to sustain her composure but when the tears appeared in her right eye we caught a glimpse of her true feelings.

“The clamped expression vanished for a moment and her eyebrows puckered into a steeple of utter sadness that mirrored the one her eldest son normally wears.
“Her lower lip dropped to reveal teeth and this micro-expression was quite shocking when seen in contrast to the tightly controlled expression she had adopted before and after.”
