Kate Middleton had a second wedding dress when she married Prince William and This is why
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, had a second wedding dress on her big day which not many people talk about – and there’s a reason why.

Kate Middleton, 35, married Prince William, 35, back in 2011, and one of the most memorable details of the day was the stunning custom Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding gown the Duchess wore.
The dress featured a deep V-neck, lace sleeves and a lengthy train, and a whimsical veil finished off the look.
But what many people do not know is Kate had a second day for the day’s celebrations.
Also designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, the second gown, made of satin, had a sweetheart neckline and a diamond waistline, and to keep warm she added a delicate furry stole.

But why did the Duchess have a second wedding dress?
Like many brides, Kate ditched her striking wedding ceremony gown for a more comfortable number for her reception.
But while many reception dresses miss out on the splendour of the wedding ceremony gown, the Duchess’ was just as rich in detail as the first.
Like the first, it featured a voluminous train but it was surely more easy to manoeuvre around in.
Also designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, the second gown, made of satin, had a sweetheart neckline and a diamond waistline, and to keep warm she added a delicate furry stole.

While her incredible gown drew in much attention, other elements of the mum-of-two’s wedding have since emerged.
Clarence House confirmed the perfume Kate wore on the big day.
The fragrance was White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum, but fans of the brunette beauty may struggle to get their hands on their own bottle
Like many things Kate uses and wears, every 50ml bottle of the scent sold out after the news was revealed.
But even today, the fragrance is still impossible to purchase.

The popular perfume appears constantly sold out on many retailer’s websites.
A vaporiser version of the scent is available on eBay for £59.95.
