THE QUEEN is expected to “continue on” with her official royal responsibilities after a “period of great sadness” that will be spent mourning the death of her husband of 73 years, Prince Philip.

Mr Witchell told viewers: “In that very solitary position as head of state, the Queen would have relied more than usual on her husband.
“He was the one person of support she could always turn to.
“But I think that she will continue on.
“There will be a period of great sadness and the rest of the Royal Family will, of course, rally around and be there.”
