Queen upset with how ‘American’ Prince Harry has become, royal expert claims

QUEEN ELIZABETH II is unhappy with how “American” Prince Harry has become following his move to California with Meghan Markle, according to a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex married American former actress, Meghan Markle, back in 2018 and following two turbulent years, the couple announced they were stepping down as members of the Royal Family. They have since moved to California in a bid for a more private life.

After stepping down from the Firm, the couple has made several explosive claims about their time as members of the Royal Family.

But now royal expert, Ingrid Seward said the Monarch has always preferred a more “stylish” approach when dealing with “emotional confrontation”.

Ms Seward also said the Queen dislikes Harry “suing every time things go wrong”.

The royal expert wrote in the Sun: “Of course, the Queen wants Harry to be happy, but I feel certain what does not please her is his American style of suing every time things go wrong.

“Far more stylish to keep quiet and start making amends with the people you have loved and upset.”

This comes as Meghan and Harry are currently engaged in a dispute with the BBC over claims the couple did not ask permission from the Queen to use the name for their daughter.

They are accusing the BBC of libel for making the claim.

Ms Seward went on to said how Harry, as a former military man, would know “stabbing the institution the Queen represents in the back” amounts to personal criticism.

She said: “While Harry waxes lyrical about how much he loves and respects his grandmother the Queen, his American PR machine then makes sure they let us know every time he speaks to her and confirmed how he told her he wanted to use the nickname Lilibet for her new grandchild.

“The Queen famously dislikes any kind of emotional confrontation.

“She was not brought up to deal with it and since the age of 26 when she ascended the throne, she has always allowed members of her personal staff to deal with contentious issues.”

Ms Seward added how when Diana, the Princess of Wales, would approach the Monarch with a “litany of woes” she would be left in a vestibule to calm down.

She added: “When Diana used to tearfully approach her with a litany of woes, the monarch would leave the distraught Princess in the Page’s vestibule next door to the Queen’s private sitting room to calm down, before facing the inevitable drama.

“Meghan and Harry blamed the Queen’s staff for blocking face-to-face meetings with her before they made their exit from the UK.

“But it seemed they failed to understand that is what courtiers do and have done for centuries.

“They are there to protect the Monarch from any unwanted intrusion into her working day.”

Since stepping down from the Firm, Meghan and Harry sat down with US media mogul Oprah Winfrey for an explosive interview.

The couple claimed there were conversations about Archie’s skin colour before he was born.

Since then, Harry has also taken part in a podcast and a documentary series where he has hit out at the Royal Family.

Last month, the Duke of Sussex appeared on the Armchair Expert podcast where he said he does not want to pass on pain from his own experience to his son Archie and future daughter.

In a new documentary series, called “The Me You Can’t See”, Harry also opened up about his experiences with mental health, claiming his suffering goes back to the “same people, the same business model and the same industry”.
