Princess Diana attended the premieres of For Your Eyes Only, A View To A Kill and The Living Daylights in 1981, 1985 and 1987 respectively.
Kate’s gown at the No Time to Die premiere bore a striking resemblance to the impressive dress worn by Diana, Princess of Wales to the 1985 premiere.

Princess Diana sat next to Roger Moore at the 007 premiere in 1981 and the star presented Diana with a solid gold version of the 007 digital watch which played the James Bond theme at the touch of a button.

The Queen’s late sister, Princess Margaret also enjoyed attending film premieres.
She famously took a dislike to Elizabeth Taylor when she met her husband Richard Burton in 1967.
But this was not the first entertainment star she met having attended the Hamlet premiere in 1953 and The Key premiere where she met Sophia Loren in 1958.
Princess Margaret attended the premiere of Help! at the London Pavilion in 1965 with her first husband the Earl of Snowdon – during which she met the Beatles.
But all of these premieres were not the first attended by the Queen’s sister – with King George VI, the Queen Mother, the then-Princess Elizabeth and Margaret attending the premiere of A Matter of Life and Death in 1946.

Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, attended a premiere of 84 Charing Cross Road in London in 1987.
She also went to the premiere of David Lean’s A Passage to India with Princess Diana and Princess Anne in 1985.
The Queen, Prince Philip and Princess Anne enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express on Shaftesbury Avenue in 1974.
This was far from the Queen and Prince Philip’s first movie premiere together – before they were married, the couple attended The Lady With A Lamp premiere at the Warner Theatre in London in 1951.
The Queen later met Barbara Streisand at the film premiere of Funny Lady in 1975 and she also met Julie Christie and Warren Beatty at the Born Free premiere in 1966.
