Princess Eugenie wedding: Eugenie’s wedding present – and it’s link to Kate Middleton

Princess Eugenie has received a charming wedding present ahead of her marriage to Jack Brooksbank on Friday, in what is a clear link to Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William’s big day.

MerseyGirls have dedicated a wedding dance to Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank before their wedding at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, on Friday.

In the dance, which was shared by the Duke of York on Twitter, the Britain’s Got Talent finalists perform to Ellie Goulding’s How Long Will I Love You.

The four dancers are wearing white and dancing in a woodland to Ms Goulding’s song.

The Duke posted the stunning video on Twitter, describing the dance as “beautiful” and thanking the MerseyGirls.

He said: “Thank you to @MerseyGirls for the beautiful Wedding dance for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank!”

The video draws comparisons to Kate and William’s wedding in 2011 as Ms Goulding sang during the reception at Buckingham Palace, including her version of Elton John’s Your Song.

Starry Eyed was another hit said to have been performed by Ms Goulding at the royal occasion.

Speaking after the wedding, the singer said: “It was an amazing honour to be asked by Kate and William to perform at their party.

“The atmosphere was incredible and it is a night I will never forget.”

The lovely gift comes days before Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank’s royal wedding.

800 guests will attend the ceremony and 1,200 members of the public have been invited to the grounds of Windsor Castle for the day, in a similar move to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who asked 2,640 members of the public to the castle for their wedding in Windsor in May.

After the service, Eugenie and Jack will take a carriage ride through Windsor.

The Queen will host an afternoon reception for the newlyweds and their guests at Windsor Castle.

And evening celebrations are reportedly being held at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, the home of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York.

Eugenie – who is ninth in line to the throne – and Mr Brooksbank announced their engagement in January after a seven year romance.
