Princess Eugenie, 30, and husband Jack Brooksbank, 35, confirmed they were pregnant with their first child last autumn. The couple shared they were expecting their royal baby in “early 2021” on Instagram. Queen Elizabeth II, 94, is traditionally one of the first Royal Family members to meet new arrivals but may be unable to visit Eugenie and Jack’s first child as soon as she might have liked.
Princess Eugenie is 10th in line to the throne and her baby will be 11th, meaning they are unlikely to ever be a senior royal.
Eugenie and Jack’s royal baby will be the Queen and Prince Philip’s ninth great-grandchild and the royal couple are said to be excited to welcome a new addition to the Windsor clan.
But given England is currently under a national lockdown and restrictions aren’t expected to be eased before March, the Queen and Philip may have to wait for several weeks to meet the new royal baby following their birth.

Where do Princess Eugenie and Jack live?
Eugenie and Jack moved into Ivy Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace following their royal wedding in October 2018.
However, the couple are reported to have spent a stint living at Meghan Markle and Harry’s UK home Frogmore Cottage before Christmas.
Eugenie and Jack spent the first lockdown with Eugenie’s parents Prince Andrew, 60, and Sarah Ferguson, 60, at the Royal Lodge in Great Windsor Park.

They are understood to have moved back in with Fergie and Andrew ahead of Christmas and are likely to be based at the Royal Lodge after welcoming their royal baby.
Discussing where the royals were spending lockdown on ABC podcast the Heirpod, host Omid Scobie said: “I saw information today that the couple have actually been spending their holidays with Sarah Ferguson, ‘Fergie’, and Prince Andrew at their Windsor Lodge home, on the Windsor Estate.
“So I imagine that’s probably where they will remain up until much later in the year.”
Where will Princess Eugenie give birth?
Royal pregnancy details including birth plans are usually kept secret from the public.
While Eugenie has not shared where she plans to have her baby she could follow in her mother’s footsteps and pick London’s private Portland Hospital.
Meghan Markle also gave birth to Archie Harrison at the Portland.
However, other royals including Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Diana favoured the Lindo Wing for their children’s birth.
Kate posed on the steps of the hospital with her newborns following each of their births.

How will the royal baby’s birth be announced?
Royal baby births are officially announced by public notice going up outside Buckingham Palace.
However, given Eugenie is a non-senior royal and a keen Instagram user she could choose to share news of her baby’s arrival online.
Given the current lockdown, it is highly unlikely Eugenie will pose for official photos with her newborn.
Instead, fans should keep an eye on the royal’s social media accounts where she could choose to share the first snaps of her new child.
