August was born on February 9 and is the Queen and Prince Philip’s ninth great-grandchild.
Doting grandmother Sarah Ferguson also gave little August a mention in her own Instragam Mother’s Day message.
The Duchess wrote: “To my Mum, you are with me everyday and you would be so proud of your Great Grandson August. Thank you for all you taught me and the joy you showed me.”
Eugenie is currently living at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor which is down the road from her parents Prince Andrew and Fergie.
They are understood to have bubbled up following the birth of little August and are thought to be lending Eugenie and Jack a hand with childcare as they settle into parenthood.
While Eugenie is not a working member of the monarchy she is still entitled to take part in certain traditions.
When lockdown is eased it seems likely Eugenie will have an official royal christening for her son.
The ceremony could be held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, walking distance from the castle where Prince Philip and the Queen have spent the best part of the pandemic.
