Princess Eugenie married long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank in a lavish ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on October 12, 2018. And now, just months after the pair said ‘I do’, royal fans are convinced the newlyweds will soon announce a pregnancy after Princess Eugenie dropped a major clue on her Instagram account.

On January 22, the 28-year-old Princess posted a photo of herself and husband Jack writing: “#tbt to exactly this day last year – Jack and I announced our engagement. What a year it’s been since then and how exciting for 2019.”

The Instagram post has made punters make a flurry of bets on Princess Eugenie being pregnant, and odds are now on record lows.

Ladbrokes make it odds on at 8/13 on a 2019 pregnancy announcement from the Royal couple.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s looking increasingly likely Eugenie will be the next royal to give birth after Meghan.”

Another clue that may suggest the Royal couple is expecting is by looking at the timing of the announcements of other Royal couples.

Meghan and Prince Harry announced their pregnancy in October, just three days after Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank married.

At the point of the announcement, Meghan is thought to have been around three months pregnant, which means the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could have conceived around July, 2018, just three months after their wedding.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have been married since October 12, just over three months, so a pregnancy could be right around the corner.

Queen Elizabeth II, whom Eugenie is very close with, and the Duke of Edinburgh also waited about three months before they got pregnant with their first child, Prince Charles.

The Queen and Prince Philip got married on November 20, 1947 and had Prince Charles a year later, on November 14, 1948.

However, other Royals have waited longer.

Prince William and Kate Middleton waited 18 months before getting pregnant with Prince George and so did Princess Eugenie’s own parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

Prince Andrew and Sarah married on July 23, 1986, and welcomed their first child Beatrice two years and one month later, on August 8, 1988.

And other punters have placed bets on Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy to not come before 2020.

Bookies Coral makes 2020 the most likely year we will hear another Royal pregnancy announcement, with odds at 5/4.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “We’re expecting Prince Eugenie and new husband Jack to wait a little while before starting a family, although next year is the clear favourite in our betting for the birth of their first child.

“It’s 5-1 that another Royal baby arrives this year.”
