Princess Eugenie overshadowed by Meghan and Harry AGAIN after latest update

PRINCESS EUGENIE was once again overshadowed on a key milestone day in her life after Prince Harry made another announcement about his future outside the Royal Family.

But not for the first time, Harry and Meghan appeared to overshadow an important moment, after the Duke of Sussex confirmed that he would today take on his first formal position at a private company.

The 36-year-old will become chief impact officer at BetterUp, a Silicon Valley startup, which offers mental health advice and “immersive learning”.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, the Duke of Sussex said he wanted to “create impact in people’s lives”, adding: “This is about acknowledging that it isn’t so much what is wrong with us, but more about what has happened to us over the course of life.”

The company is worth around $1bn (£730m), and among Harry’s duties will be to help with “product strategy decisions, charitable collaborations, and advise on topics related to mental health”.

In recent times, Meghan and Harry have been accused of overshadowing other milestones, including earlier this month when Eugenie moved into Frogmore Cottage, previously occupied by the Sussexes, with her family.

The move, then, was somewhat dampened as Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey dominated the headlines.

According to royal commentator Robera Fiorito, this made Eugenie “feel like she has been lost”.

She added: “Did you see that Eugenie is back at Frogmore Cottage? That is where they moved.

“I feel like this was also something that was lost with everything around the Oprah interview.

“They drove home from the Portland hospital to Frogmore Cottage.”

The Sussexes were also accused of stealing Eugenie’s thunder during her 2018 wedding, where they reportedly told friends and family they were expecting Archie.

A source told the pro-Sussex biography ‘Finding Freedom’ that this announcement “did not go down particularly well with Eugenie” who felt that Meghan and Harry “should have waited to share the news”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then told the general public of Meghan’s pregnancy three days later on Instagram, instead of in a formal statement from Buckingham Palace.

Yet, it is not just Eugenie that the couple seem to have overshadowed, as Harry’s sister-in-law, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, found out on her last two birthdays.

While marking her 39th birthday this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hit headlines after a source close to the couple revealed they had “no plans” to return to social media.

The source claimed that they also wouldn’t use social media to promote their Archewell Foundation, and were “very unlikely” to set up accounts for themselves again, given the “hate” they experience on the various channels.

The source said Meghan and Harry would not be using social media to promote their new Archewell Foundation and were “very unlikely” to set up accounts for themselves due to the “hate” they experienced on the online platforms.

And last year, in perhaps the most dramatic of fashion, Kate’s birthday was almost forgotten because Harry and Meghan published a social media post regarding their decision to stand down from royal life.

After the post was made, William, Kate’s husband, was reportedly “incandescent with rage” over their sudden declaration, while Kate was pictured arriving at Kensington Palace grim-faced, despite the celebrations.
