PRINCESS EUGENIE’s heartbreaking feelings about being “a walk-on part in Royal Family life” have been revealed as her relationship with Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, was also examined.

Princess Eugenie “looked particularly awkward” after witnessing Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, take centre stage at a royal event, according to a commentator. The younger Princess of York’s rift with the future queen consort was discussed in relation to their positions within the monarchy. The List narrator Christine-Marie Liwag Dixon gave insight into the “royal pecking order”.

“She has continued to make headlines throughout her time as a working royal.

“But the attention, the praise, and the adoring fans she’s received has reportedly not been an easy pill for Princess Eugenie to swallow.

“A number of reports have indicated in the past that Kate has not always been the best of friends with Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice.”

Ms Liwag Dixon continued: “The bluntness of the royal pecking order was on full display at the 2018 Trooping the Colour celebration, marking Queen Elizabeth’s birthday.

“Kate was also standing front and centre on Buckingham Palace’s balcony.

“Eugenie, by comparison, was standing off to one side.”

The narrator added: “She looked particularly awkward on an otherwise happy royal occasion.”

An insider told the Daily Mail that Eugenie has felt “snubbed” on occasions.

Reportedly, the Princess has been made to feel like a “walk-on part in Royal Family life”.

Kate’s position in the monarchy is only set to increase as she will become queen consort one day.

When this happens, she will no longer have to curtsy to anyone as she currently does.

Royal tradition dictates that members of the Royal Family should curtsy or bow their heads to those that are higher in rank.

Other royal members will be required to curtsy to her as a sign of respect.

This includes Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.
