India Hicks, the granddaughter of Earl Mountbatten of Burma, walked down the aisle some 40 years ago with Diana, the Princess of Wales, at her wedding to Prince Charles. Ms Hicks was just 13 at the time.
On Friday, Ms Hicks finally tied the knot to her long-term partner David Flint Wood, who she has been in a relationship with for almost 26 years.
The pair were married at a ceremony at the Brightwell Baldwin Parish Church in Oxfordshire before enjoying their celebration at the Lord Nelson pub.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “Five children and 25 years later!
“We quietly decided a few months ago.

“A celebration of unflinching love. Until death do us part.”
A source told People that the bride looked “stunning” in a classic ivory lace gown designed by Emilia Wickstead.
They said: “It was a magical day full of joy and happiness.
“Everyone was thrilled to see India and David walk down the aisle together after so many years together, not least their five children and India’s mother Lady Pamela Hicks.”

The source added: “The ceremony took place at the Oxfordshire chapel where India was christened and her father David is buried, so it was very emotional for her to finally marry at the family Church.”
The couple were joined by some of their celebrity friends including Kirstie Allsopp, Sophie Dahl, Jamie Cullum and Brooke Shields.
Together, the couple have Felix, 23, Amory, 21, Conrad, 17, and Domino, 12, and fostered another boy Wesley, 23, in the Bahamas.
Despite vowing she would never marry herself, Ms Hicks surprised the nation back in November when she announced her looming nuptials
Speaking of her upcoming wedding, she said she may have “mellowed” and said she wants “stability”.
She told the Daily Mail: “Good question. Maybe I’ve mellowed?
“The pandemic has been a factor, yes.
“I’ve been through quite a difficult few years, in one way and another.

“I don’t know. I feel I want… stability.
“I have surprised myself. I don’t just want to get married, I want to get married here, in Oxfordshire, where I grew up and in the church where my father is buried and where I was christened.
“I want my mother to there. I want her to be wearing a hat.”
Ms Hicks is the third child of Lady Pamela Mountbatten and David Nightingale Hicks.
Her mother was a lady-in-waiting to the Queen of England and her father was a famous interior designer.
She is the granddaughter of the Earl and Countess Mountbatten of Burma and the second cousin of the Prince of Wales.
