Princess Diana video: Moment Charles POKES Diana playfully as they BICKER at Palace
A VIDEO has emerged showing a sweet moment between Prince Charles and Princess Diana, in which the Prince of Wales playfully tickled his wife during a formal staff meeting at Kensington Palace.
In a 1983 documentary,Charles and Di: In Private In Public, which has re-emerged on social media, the Prince and Princess of Wales met with senior administrators at a dining room in Kensington Palace, to organise their engagements for the following six months.
A meticulous task, Diana and Charles had to prioritise which engagements they wished to attend for the year, as they could not fit them all into their schedule.
Charles had already set a basic timetable for which events he wanted to to attend before it was Diana’s turn.
She had to decide which engagements she wished to attend with her husband, Prince Charles, and plan her own separate timetable.
The video shows the pair engage in a minor argument as soon as they began discussing their agendas.
Prince Charles, a patron of the Royal College of Music, was invited to their reception but was unsure whether Diana, a patron of the rival Royal Academy of Music, would also attend.
Asking whether she would attend the event, Charles asked Diana: “So are you coming to that?

Dian said: “Oh yes.”
Charles then asked: “The reception? For the Royal College of Music?”
To which Diana replied: “Yes.”
Ecstatic with Diana’s response, Charles then teased her and cheekily poked her on her left side.
Diana, who appeared to reject his advances, lifted her arm and pushed his hand away.
Just months before the wedding, Diana was ready to call it off.
She said: “I went upstairs, had lunch with my sisters who were there.

“And I said ‘I can’t marry him, I can’t do this, this is absolutely unbelievable.’
“And they were wonderful and said, ‘Well, bad luck, Duch, your face is on the tea towel…so you are too late to chicken out’.”
They divorced in 1996, after the Queen sent them a letter advising they end their marriage.

Princess Diana died in a car crash on August 31, 1997.
