Quokka selfies on Diana’s niece Lady Kitty Spencer’s Perth bucket list
A laze on one of WA’s best-loved beaches, a quokka selfie and a cuddle with the local fauna are on Lady Kitty Spencer’s bucket list during her whistle-stop tour of Perth.
The niece of the late Princess Diana is in Perth as the guest of honour at tomorrow’s Bentley Polo in the Valley at Duncraig Stud, marking her second trip to Australia after a month-long stay in 2015.
While she is only in town for a few days, Lady Kitty is wasting no time ticking off her Perth “to-do list”.
“I am going to Rottnest Island to get a quokka selfie and I am going to visit the koalas because I hear you can hold them here,” the charity patron and fashion masters graduate said. “I want to do Cottesloe Beach and then there’s a long list of restaurants, so I think I will be eating six meals a day.
While her family connections as the eldest child of the ninth Earl of Spencer, Charles, and the cousin of Princes William and Harry have given her an automatic profile, Lady Kitty is more interested in pursuing charitable causes than fame.
The 26-year-old said coming to Perth for the polo was a good excuse to support Youth Focus, which has received more than $700,000 from the event to help teenagers with depression.
