Dr Julian De Silva, head of the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery in London, used Leonardo di Vinci’s ancient Greek formula to calculate the attractiveness of five royals. The Princess of Wales ranked top of the five he examined, beating out Queen Rania of Jordan, Princess Grace of Monaco and both Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and Meghan Markle.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Dr De Silva gave Diana the highest rating of the five, with a 89.05 percent on the Golden Ratio.
He added: “Diana, Meghan and Kate are all very beautiful women. But when measured against the Greeks’ Golden Ratio of physical perfection, Princess Diana comes out on top…
“Diana scored highly for her face shape, the width of her nose, her brow area, her forehead and her eyebrows – which all got the top scores.
“Her lowest scores were for her chin and lips. Her lips are a little thin and ill-defined and her chin is less classical than some of the other women.”

Dr De Silva gave Meghan a 87.7 percent rating and Kate a 86.62 percent rating using the Golden Ratio formula.
Speaking about the Sussex royal, he said she had gotten “closer than any other princess to having what the Greeks considered the perfect face”.
While the Duchess of Cambridge was narrowly pipped by Meghan, Dr de Silva added: “Kate stands out for having a perfect gap between her nose and lips and very strong eye spacing.
“She was marked down for having a weaker chin and jawline than Diana.”
Taking the crown as most attractive living royal was Queen Rania, who Dr de Silva ranked 88.9 percent.
He said: “Queen Rania is the most beautiful living royal and a stunningly attractive woman.
“She had the highest marks of all for her classically shaped chin and also scored highly for her lips.
“She was marked down for her nose width and her brow area.”
Diana was frequently tipped as a beauty icon, and was renowned for her friendship with supermodels.
Earlier this year, the royal’s former make-up artist Mary Greenwell shared how she created Diana’s “natural” look.
Ms Greenwell also revealed her favourite look of Diana’s was at the 1996 Met Gala, with the make-up artist adding: “We were so happy to be in New York, getting ready around the corner at The Carlyle.
“Everything about the look came together so beautifully, the navy blue dress paired with the soft eye shadow and lip looked so glamorous. She looked divine.”
Naomi Campbell, supermodel, shared on her Youtube series ‘No Filter’ how Diana once organised a surprise for a young Prince William.
The Princess of Wales once asked Ms Campbell and her model friends to surprise William at Buckingham Palace for his birthday.
She said: “I went with Claudia Schiffer and Christy Turlington. And he was coming home from school.
“And we had gotten there before he had gotten home from school and Princess Diana was like, ‘Okay.’ So we were just like, ‘What do we do?’ I mean, it was so sweet.”
