Speaking to William, Miles said: “Homelessness is about not having a safe space – it’s a very isolating life. You exist, you don’t live.”

Discussing the charity, he added that Groundswell helps “give a voice to people who have experienced homelessness”.

Miles also added that he has felt “supported” to share his story and that it has “really helped” him.

William discusses how “glad” he is that his late mother, Princess Diana, introduced him to homelessness at “quite a young age”.

The heir to the throne is currently Patron of two charities that work to tackle homelessness, Centrepoint and The Passage.

The future King, who is next in line to the throne, has often spoken about how he is committed to playing a vital role in making homelessness brief, rare and non-recurrent.

Like his late mother, William has taken an interest in helping to tackle homelessness and has recently spent time with Groundswell, which is a charity funded by Comic Relief.

People sleeping rough in England has risen by 26 percent in a year, hastened by the current cost-of-living crisis.

Research conducted has shown that an estimated 3,000 people were sleeping rough on one single night during the autumn of 2022.

During a recent visit to The Passage, William vowed to take his own three children to homelessness shelters, just like his mother did with him and Prince Harry.

At The Passage, William spoke to Sister Joan, who remembered his late mother visiting the charity in the early 1990s.

Discussing William’s conversation, she said: “He said he would bring his children one day to see us.”

William’s candid chat will air on Friday, March 17 on BBC One as part of this year’s Comic Relief coverage.
