Prince William gave Kate Middleton an eternity ring during university and The Duchess Of Cambridge still wears it today – for a very special reason
PRINCE William and Kate Middleton’s romance has been watched on by the public since it’s birth.
From Kate Middleton and Prince William’s engagement, to the Duchess Of Cambridge’s lavish wedding, the couple’s relationship is constantly in the public eye.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge got engaged in 2010, and the nation went crazy for the new edition to the Royal family.
When they got engaged, the Prince gave Kate Princess Diana’s distinctive sapphire and diamond engagement ring.
And while some may see this as the most sentimental piece of jewellery the Prince has gifted to his wife, there’s a chance you’re wrong.
In fact, earlier in their relationship, William gave the future mother of his children an eternity band, according to Cosmopolitan.
The sentimental value comes from the Victorian eternity band including garnets – the Duchess’ birth stone – and pearls – the Prince’s birthstone.
Since she received the thoughtful gift, Kate has been said to have worn in on-and-off throughout their relationship.
However, these two rings are not the only special pieces of jewellery William has given to his wife.
On their wedding day, Prince William placed a Welsh gold wedding band on the beauty’s ring finger.
Before the wedding, the palace announced: “The wedding ring that Catherine Middleton will wear will be made of Welsh gold. The gold was given to Prince William by The Queen shortly after the couple were engaged.”
