Charles’s accession to the throne means Archie and Lilibet, who live in California with Harry and Meghan could technically now get new titles.
Prince William, who used to be addressed as the Duke of Cambridge, changed to reflect becoming Prince of Wales, Prince Harry’s children remained addressed as Master Archie and Miss Lilibet.
Royal Editor of the Sunday Times, Roya Nikka, claimed this came after a conversation the King had with Prince Harry.
She told the Daily Mirror’s Royal Beat podcast: “On the death of the Queen, Harry’s children, Archie and Lilibet, automatically as grandchildren of the sovereign, became HRH and Prince and Princess. So they’ve got that now, but they’ve not been updated on the royal website with their new titles. They are still ‘Master and Miss’.
Prince Harry didn’t want his children to take automatically their titles, an expert claimed
“William and Kate’s new titles were instantly updated and it’s my understanding that this was discussed with father and son when Harry was over here and [Charles] said, ‘what do you want?’, and [Harry] said, ‘I’d like my children to be able to decide about their titles when they come of age, it’s not my decision to make for them. And we can only do that if we keep the titles’.
“They have the titles now, but it’s up to Charles whether he allows them to keep them, or whether he issues letters patent to remove them, and that is still unresolved.”
Harry has faced difficult times in his relationship with his father, telling US talk show host Oprah Winfrey he felt “really let down” by Charles, who had stopped taking his calls in the run up to the Megxit crisis, and how there was a “lot of hurt”.
The duke later lambasted Charles’s skills as father, criticising him for expecting his sons to endure the pressures of royal life, and suggesting his parenting left him with “genetic pain and suffering”.

The duchess also accused an unnamed member of the Firm of making a racist remark about Archie’s skin tone before he was born.
Charles’s accession to the throne means Archie, who lives in California with Harry and Meghan and his one-year-old sister Lilibet, is technically now a prince.
But it has not been confirmed by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex or Buckingham Palace whether he will use the title of prince or whether Lili will use that of princess.
