Roberta Fiorito said: “I think it’ll be interesting next year at this time, will we get Harry’s memoir on the 25th anniversary?
“I think that would be a super poignant date for him to release his memoir and his reflections of his own mother.
“These depictions that we see in pop culture, they’re just someone else’s perception but I think to have her own son tell her story will be, and hopefully he does, will be super moving.”
Prince Harry announced the publication of his memoir on July 19 through Penguin Random House.
In a statement, the 36-year-old Prince wrote: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.
“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.
“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a first-hand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”
The memoir is expected to cover his childhood, his experiences in both the military and as a working royal, and his new role as a father and husband.
Penguin Random House said they were “thrilled” to be publishing the memoir of “one of the most fascinating and influential global figures of our time”.
Pulitzer prize-winning author J. R. Moehringer is ghostwriting the book, which is expected hit bookshelves in late 2022.
The memoir will be available in digital, audio and print formats, with proceeds from the sales distributed amongst the Duke’s charities.
In recent interviews, Prince Harry has openly discussed the traumatic experience of losing his mother at such a young age, and the impact her death had on his later mental health.
When speaking to Oprah Winfrey for the Apple TV+ series ‘The Me You Can’t See’, Prince Harry said there was “no justice” in her untimely death, and said he felt “hunted” by the paparazzi during his teenage years.
He also spoke about his relationship with Meghan Markle and her depression whilst she was a member of the Royal Family, saying: “It’s incredibly triggering to potentially lose another woman in my life.”
Princess Diana died at the age of 36 when her car crashed in a tunnel in Paris on August 31, 1997.
Her sudden death and her status as the most famous woman in the world led to unprecedented mourning, with an estimated 2.5 billion people tuning in to watch her funeral service.
At the time of her death, Prince Harry was only 12 years old.
