PRINCE HARRY has “lost his place” in the royal “pecking order” because of the “dynasty” built up by his brother the Duke of Cambridge, according to royal expert Kate Nicholls.

She continued: “Millions are going to tune into this.

“We Brits here see it different to the Americans, Meghan is the ultimate home-coming queen.

“She has come back to America with her prince.”

The royal expert added: “Harry has essentially lost his place in the pecking order because of the Cambridges and their dynasty.

“I think he always had to choose a second route and this is his opportunity to now talk about what he is going to do and together how they are going to do to

“But certainly in America, huge interest in this interview.”

The sit down with Oprah will be the couple’s first TV interview since they controversially quit the Royal Family almost one year ago.

US broadcaster CBS has said the interview – to be aired on March 7 – will be conducted in two parts, with Meghan going solo, before being joined by her husband.

CBS said: “Winfrey will speak with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure.

“Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.”

Buckingham Palace has addressed the news of the bombshell interview by insisting Harry and Meghan are free to do as they wish as they are no longer working members of The Firm.

In a statement, the Palace said: “The Duke and Duchess are no longer working members of the Royal Family and therefore any decisions they take with regard to media commitments are matters for them.

“As non-working members of the Royal Family, they are under no obligation to inform the Royal Household of such plans.”

The couple confirmed their exciting news by sharing a picturesque photo of themselves sat under a tree, with Harry resting his hand on Meghan’s head as she lay in his lap cradling her baby bump.

The joyous news of the expected royal arrival comes amid a whirlwind 24 hours for Meghan and Harry.
