PRINCE Harry wants to reunite with brother Prince William for the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue in July, even if it’s for a “whistle-stop” visit, a royal expert has claimed.

“We understand the baby is due in June, therefore he should be able to come over, even if it’s just for a fleeting 48-hour trip.”

“I don’t think he’ll be staying for any lengthy period of time but the hope is he’ll be able to make a whistle-stop trip.”

She added, “The idea of William alone unveiling the statue dedicated to their mother, I think, just wouldn’t feel right to anyone.”

The unveiling of Princess Diana’s new statue is scheduled to take place at Kensington Palace on July 1 to celebrate what would have been Diana’s 60th birthday.

Ms Nicholl continued: “This statue has been a long time in the making, it is important, it’s important to them both and they both need to be there.”
