Prince George ‘to make a very good king’ thanks to Prince William and Kate training

PRINCE George will be a “very good king” thanks to Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge’s positive and modern appearance to the public, a Jeremy Vine caller claimed.

Speaking on the Jeremy Vine Show, caller Hannah told panellists: “I think we are the envy of the world, we have a Queen who is so totally respected.

“Prince Philip, a lot of people in this country were very sad to see him go.

“What wasn’t advertised enough was the huge charity work that he carried out – he didn’t advertise all the work that he did.

“William is modern thanks to Kate and I think because [they are] so public related, that they will bring up George in a similar vein.

“And I think he could possibly make a very good king.”

Earlier in the programme, Jacqui Smith told host Mr Vine: “I wouldn’t design a political system where those at the top couldn’t be removed from power.”

The former Home Secretary added she could not see it happening in the future, however.

Dominique Samuels appeared to agree with Ms Smith stating: “If I was creating my ideal country I think it would be a republic.

“I do have a lot of respect for the Royal Family and I think it would only happen if the public wanted it to.”

Nearly all senior royals saw a positive uptick in their popularity following Prince Philip’s death but none more so than Prince Edward.

His positive popularity went from 41 percent to 54 percent with many royal commentators believing he could step in and become a core Royal Family member following several lost members.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were the only royals who saw a decrease in their popularity with 61 percent of the public having a negative opinion of the Duchess of Sussex.

Carole Middleton, Kate’s mother, spoke to Saga magazine and revealed she helps the Duchess of Cambridge with childcare and is allowing her grandchildren to go into her garden to “get muddy”.

She told the publication: “It’s important for children to grow up appreciating nature and part of that is allowing them to get a bit muddy.”

Ms Middleton added she is also helping her grandchildren grow vegetables and said: “There’s no better way to encourage healthy eating than to allow your grandchildren to see how food is grown and let them pick their own.”

Prince George was born on July 22 2013 and will be eight this year.
