Prince George makes an ADORABLE gesture to protect Princess Charlotte amid royal baby news
PRINCE GEORGE and Princess Charlotte made a sweet appearance alongside father Prince William as they went to meet their royal baby brother. Kate Middleton gave birth to her second son on Monday and many may have missed an adorable moment between her two younger children.
Prince George, four, is the older brother to Princess Charlotte, two, and he clearly takes his role seriously, as witnessed during Monday’s royal baby coverage.
While people’s attention was diverted by the birth of the royal baby – the second son of Kate Middleton, 36, and Prince William, 35 – a cute moment occurred between the older siblings.
Prince George, who is third in line to the British throne and goes to Thomas’s Battersea School, arrived in his blue and red school uniform.
Princess Charlotte, meanwhile, attends Willcocks Nursery School, and she wore her blue and navy uniform.
The siblings differed in their behaviour as they walked hand in hand with Prince William towards the Lindo Wing stairs.
Prince George chose to look straight ahead, maintaining a straight face and not interacting with photographers.
Charlotte, meanwhile, waved excitedly to the media stationed at the Lindo Wing, smiling broadly.
However, the pair shared a moment of love as they made their way through the doors of the Lindo Wing.
Video footage shows the children letting go of their father William’s hands as they walk into the corridor.
The video then shows young George putting a protective arm around his sister’s shoulders as the doors closed behind them.

This touching gestures hints at the truly loving relationship between brother and sister even out of the public glare.
The royal baby was born yesterday morning at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.
A royal baby name has not yet been announced, however, this has not stopped betters placing money on Arthur, Philip, Albert and James.
It was said earlier today James is the most popular baby name among betters, with the largest amount of money being placed on it in Ladbrokes betting.
However, the bookies’ favourite is still Arthur, which has odds of 2/1, while James has odds of 4/1. Meanwhile , Philip has odds of 6/1.
So which will it be? It seems a royal baby name clash has shed light on the question, after a royal commentator drew attention to a fascinating new argument.
“Royals don’t tend to reuse names that are currently in use”, said the expert on the royal family.
“I can’t see them using Philip as a first name as the royals don’t tend to reuse names that are currently in use,” Omid Scobie, royal commentator on US Weekly told iNews.
However, it seems there is a further name clash that bookies have not spotted which would rule out the joint favourite name choice of James.
“Sophie and Edward also called their son James,” Omid revealed to iNews, referring to James, Viscount Severn.
