Prince George and Princess Charlotte showed off skill during summer – ‘Had no qualms’

PRINCE GEORGE and Princess Charlotte showed off during their summer holidays a skill they have both mastered, according to a source.

Both Prince George, eight, and Princess Charlotte, six, are “good swimmers”, a source who spotted the Cambridges holidaying has claimed. The little royals were seen with their parents and younger brother Prince Louis, three, in early August, when the source said the Cambridges were sailing a small boat on the north of the Norfolk coast.

According to the local source, Kate was giving sailing lessons to her children.

They told Vanity Fair: “They are very much a family of sailors now.

“Kate has always been a competent sailor and William’s pretty good too.

“They have enjoyed some wonderful time on the coast this summer sailing and showing the children how to steer and sail a boat.

“They love the water and the two eldest are good swimmers and had no qualms about jumping into the sea even if it was a bit fresh.”

They continued: “The kids were all running in and out of the water with their dog and spent hours playing in the sand.

“They are clearly a family that love being outdoors and in nature.

“It was lovely to see them playing so freely and not being bothered by anyone.”

The source went on claiming George, Louis and Charlotte wore life jackets while at sea.

But they were happy to ditch wetsuits for bathing suits whenever they jumped in the water.

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, 39, and Prince William, 39, opted to spend their summer in the UK rather than travel to one of their most beloved holiday destination – Mustique.

Similarly to what they did last year, the Cambridges are believed to have visited the Isles of Scilly off the Cornish coast earlier this summer.

Yesterday, royal expert Katie Nicholl reported a source claiming the family of five had spent the past week in the company of the Queen at Balmoral Castle.

Ms Nicholl also said Kate, William and their children have spent much of their spare time this summer based at Anmer Hall, their residence near the North Sea.

Kate and William are known to love sailing – and competing against one another.

In May, the couple had a go at land yacht racing on West Sand Beach in St Andrews during their tour of Scotland.

There, they met a group from Fife Young Carers, which helps young carers maintain their well-being through a range of outdoor activities, workshops, and residential trips.

In July 2019, the couple also hosted a charity regatta on the Isle of Wight, which saw Kate and William race against one another and six other boats, each representing an organisation they support.

On the day of the race, the Duke and Duchess were joined by Carole and Michael Middleton, who looked after George and Charlotte.

This wasn’t the first time Kate and William competed against each other on water.

In 2014, the Duchess won over her husband during the America’s Cup yachts in Auckland, New Zealand.

George, Charlotte and Louis’s summer holidays are drawing to an end.

George and Charlotte attend Thomas’s Battersea prep school in south London, which will resume classes next week.

Similarly, little Louis is attending the same nursery where his sister went, Willcocks Nursery School – located close to Kensington Palace.event)
