James Middleton visits sister Pippa Middleton and husband James Matthews in hospital after birth of baby son
PIPPA Middleton and James Matthews welcomed their baby son into the world on Monday.
Pippa Middleton’s brother James Middleton was pictured arriving at the Lindo Wing hospital in London to visit her and her husband James Matthews after the birth of their first child.
The 35 year old and her financial advisor husband welcomed a baby boy on 15 October weighing 8lb and 9oz.
A royal correspondent announced the baby news on Tuesday, posting on Twitter: “George, Charlotte and Louis have a new cousin! James and Pippa Matthews (Middleton) have had a baby boy.
“He was born Monday 15th October at 1.58pm, weighing 8lb and 9oz. Everyone is delighted and Mother and baby are doing well.”
Looking eager to meet the newest member of the family, Kate Middleton’s brother dressed down for the occasion as he was pictured holding just a phone whilst he arrived at the hospital.
Hours before, Pippa’s husband James, 43, was pictured running up the stairs of the hospital wing holding a large bag a day after welcoming his first child – whose name has not yet been announced – into the world.
Speculation that Kate Middleton’s sister was pregnant with her first child started in early 2018, just months after she wed James in May 2017.
The cooking guru reportedly told her close family she was expecting following her 12 week scan in April 2018, and then confirmed the news to the public in June.
Opening up on her first trimester, she wrote in her Waitrose column: “I was lucky to pass the 12 week scan without suffering from morning sickness.
“That meant I was able to carry on as normal. This being my first pregnancy, I had so many questions I felt were still unanswered.”
And in an honest admission, the fitness fanatic went on to speak about her changing body: “I’ve noticed my body change and weight increase – but through effective exercise and sports I feel that it’s being strengthened to support a healthy pregnancy, birth and recovery.”
Pippa married James, the brother of Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, on 20 May 2017 at St Mark’s Church in Englefield, near the Middleton family home.
