‘Part of their story’: George and Charlotte at funeral ‘right choice’ for Kate and William

Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s appearance at the late Queen’s state funeral is “part of their story”, a royal expert claimed.

Speaking to her co-host Christina Garibaldi, Ms Ross said: “There was a lot of people questioning, you know, should George and Charlotte be there.

“I mean, Charlotte’s still so young. I think that’s a good point, they will always remember this.

“This will, kind of, always be part of their story.”

Speaking of her sceptical feeling prior to the day, Ms Ross continued: “I wasn’t sure at first, either, but now I’ve seen everything that’s happened, I think it was the right choice”.

One of the show’s royal watchers, Joan Neel, stated that the two children will “remember their great-grandmother’s funeral all of their lives”.

Ms Neel also mentioned how “wonderful” it was that Prince George and Princess Charlotte, as well as their younger brother Prince Lous, were part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

Ms Ross’ co-host Christina Garibaldi said: “Yes, spending that time with their great-grandmother had to be amazing.

“Not a lot of kids get to spend that much time with their great-grandparents.”

Speaking of the appearance at the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June, Ms Ross said: “It must have been so special.”

George and Charlotte’s appearance was only confirmed the day before.

Two other younger members of the Royal Family in attendance were the Queen’s youngest grandchildren, James Viscount Severn, 14, and his sister, Lady Louise, 18.
