‘No reconciliation!’ Prince Harry and William ‘further apart than ever’ as Di Day looms

PRINCE HARRY and Prince William are expected to put their differences aside and “walk out together” for the unveiling of a statue honouring their late mother, a source has said.

However, despite the plans to unveil the statue together, the source said there is still “no reconciliation” between the two. The brothers’ bitter rift stems from Prince Harry’s decision to step back as a senior member of the Royal Family with his wife Meghan Markle.

Tensions have since been exacerbated by the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes’ allegations against the Firm during an interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year.

A source close to the statue planning committee told The Sun that Prince Charles will not be at the event to soothe the feud.

They said: “The boys will walk out together out of respect for their mum but there’s been no reconciliation.

“Charles will leave the boys to it.

“Harry will need to quarantine for at least five days when he lands in England, most likely at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

“Charles has made it quite clear he will not be around beyond that because he is going to Scotland. There is no planned meeting.”

At the event, the Dukes of Sussex and Cambridge will walk to the statue and then deliver separate speeches.

The brothers are due to unveil the Princess Diana statue at Kensington Palace on July 1.

The anticipated meeting will be the first time the brothers have seen each other face-to-face since Prince Philip’s funeral in April.

Another source told The Sun on Friday that Harry and William “have only communicated by text” since the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.

The source said: “There have not been any personal chats or proper talks, just a very brief and minimal exchange of text messages.

“The relationship is still very much strained and there’s no sign yet that there will be any sort of coming together any time soon.”

The latest comments follow accusations Meghan Markle bullied at least two members of Buckingham Palace staff.

According to The Times, a “highly sensitive inquiry” into the allegations will not be published until next year.
