Mike Tindall to be ‘quizzed’ on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during I’m A Celebrity

The Tindalls are understood to remain close to Harry, who is Zara’s cousin, and Meghan following their royal exit.

Speaking on behalf of Slingo, the royal expert said: “I expect Mike will be well aware of what he can say and cannot say whilst on the show.

“He is shrewd, so I wouldn’t expect he would reveal any family secrets.

“However, that does not mean that some people will not want to cause mischief and quiz him on the royals, particularly Harry and Meghan.

“Mike has appeared on various programmes in the past and he has managed to keep quiet about family matters.

“His Royal Family topics, if there are any, will be mainly about things the general public know.

“The Royal Family has coped with all sorts of things the past few years, so I’m sure they will cope in the unlikely event Mike speaks out of turn.

“I am sure he will have discussed matters, particularly with Zara and also senior palace aides.”

It comes as the latest series of the ITV show filmed in the Australian jungle kicks off tonight.

Mike is the first extended member of the Royal Family to join the I’m A Celebrity line-up.

Mike has admitted he will miss his wife, who he married in 2011, and their three children.

He said: “First and foremost, I will miss my family. I will miss my bed too and a nice breakfast.”

The sportsman also said he was inspired to join the show by his friend and former I’m A Celebrity contestant James Haskell.

“The timing was right this year and Hask (James) did the show and he had been talking about it.”

He also joked he would have no problem eating the show’s notorious offerings in Bushtucker Trials.

He added: “I am eight years out of the game now so I am a bit more realistic about food, but I know James said the lack of food can sometimes be hard.

“But at least with the eating trials, you get food in you! It might not taste very nice but at least it is serving a purpose and giving you a protein intake. Bring on those challenges.”
