MEGHAN Markle was spotted failing to mention her “significant” royal role as Duchess discusses how her life “changed rather significantly” in her keynote speech in Manchester.

In her speech, the Duchess said: “I joined you in London in 2019.

“By that point, it’s fair to say, my life had changed rather significantly.”

Following a slight pause, she added: “I was now married and I was now a mum.”

The 2019 event was held at the Royal Albert Hall.

Meghan opened her speech by delaring that it was “very nice to be back in the UK”.

Addressing the audience, Meghan said: “This week, the world is watching as you cement your place in history by showcasing the good that you are doing today.

“In the present moment, as we embrace the moment now to create a better tomorrow.”

To conclude her speech, the Duchess stated that it was an “absolute honour and pleasure” to declare this year’s One Young World summit “officially open”.

Meghan and Harry arrived in the UK on Saturday.

At the time of the announcement of the Sussexes visit, a spokesperson for the couple said they will “visit with several charities close to their hearts” in the UK and Germany.

After Manchester, the couple are scheduled to travel to Germany for the one-year official countdown to the 2023 Invictus Games.

Prince Harry founded the games in 2014, after he was inspired by a visit to the Warrior Games in America the previous year.

On September 8, Meghan and Harry will be in attendance at the WellChild Awards, in which the Duke has been patron since 2007.

The couple previously attended the WellChild Awards in 2019.

At the 2019 event, Harry appeared to get emotional during his speech, in which he spoke about his son Archie.
