Royal experts Paul Burrell and Eve Pollard predicted a difficult experience for Meghan Markle when she was newly part of the Royal Family. During Channel 5’s 2019 royal documentary ‘Harry and Meghan: Royals at War’ the pair reflected on the struggle of joining the Royal Family. Mr Burrell indicated Meghan Markle would have the same difficulties as Princess Diana did.
While Ms Pollard there would be tension due to jealousy felt by some of the Palace staff.
Mr Burrell said: “There are two different elements to dealing with Buckingham Palace, the Royal Family and the Royal Household.
“I personally think the royal household is far more difficult than the Royal Family.
“They are what Princess Diana called the grey suits.

Meghan Markle would have struggled more with the Royal Household than the Royal Family members, according to an expert.
“They are the ones that made Princess Diana’s life hell, they are the ones that are going to make Meghan’s life hell as well.”
Ms Pollard spoke about the tensions felt in the Royal Household towards Meghan Markle when she became a member of the Royal Family.
She said: “The Royal Family have this great tradition of using people in their staff, if they can, who have often been related to people who used to work for the Queen’s father or for the Queen earlier in her reign.
“Suddenly they look at this woman and think I have got a daughter who is really pretty, why didn’t Prince Harry marry them.

“Of course there is bound to be a little bit of jealousy.
“They will question why did Prince Harry choose an American and not a Brit.”
Harry and Meghan have since moved on to America and stepped down as senior royals.
The Duke and Duchess have been able to focus on ventures that they felt close to and cared about.
Some royal experts have indicated this will mean, in the future, the royal couple will fade into the background.

Mr Morris said: “It is very difficult to say what their future holds as they are still exploring their options.
“But I imagine they will gradually fade into the background.
“They will be taking up residency in the United States and becoming increasingly distant from the Royal Family.
“It is not clear what their role will be but the essential difficulty is that they seem to have confused celebrity with royalty, they are not the same.”
