Meghan Markle is barred from eating her favourite food on her birthday, here’s why
When it’s your birthday, you want a day filled with all of your favourite things.
Unfortunately that’s not going to the be the case for Meghan Markle turning 37 on August 4.
The new royal will, most likely, not be able to indulge in her favourite foods on her birthday.
The Duchess of Sussex has previously described herself as a great cook and a total foodie, but there are strict rules when it comes to cuisine in the royal household.
Meghan has made it clear she loves a good pasta dish, revealing to Delish.com her ideal meal is pasta served with slow-cooked zucchini. It’s apparently a “filthy, sexy mush”. Sounds divine.
But in the world of the royals, high-carb foods are a no-no.
Rice, potatoes and pasta have been banned by the Queen simply because she’s not a fan of them, according to the BBC.
Another food love of Meghan’s is sushi, but sadly that’s a no-go too.
Any risky foods are also barred including shellfish, rare meat, raw fish (bye bye sushi) and any dishes which are considered “too spicy or exotic”.
Despite the food situation, we’re sure Prince Harry will have a day full of treats for her.
