Meghan Markle Attended the Queen’s Staff Christmas Party
The holiday season is a time of surprise and delight, and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s engagement certainly came as a welcomed, joyous shock. But the royal engagement is not the only Christmas miracle: The future Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales recently popped up at the Queen’s staff holiday party, according to The Daily Mail’s royal correspondent Rebecca English. Queen Elizabeth II held her annual staff holiday party at Windsor Castle on Monday and the surprise guest of honor reportedly charmed the pants off of everyone in attendance. “One person who met her told me that she was ‘charm personified.’ She held out her hand and said ‘Hi, I’m Meghan.’ She was unbelievably beautiful and Harry looked so proud,” English shared on Twitter. The correspondent added that it was “definitely a surprise” to all who attended and they were “blown away” by her “elegance and confidence.”

English also noted that Harry seemed “keen to introduce her,” which makes sense because they are due down the aisle in just six months. The Queen’s staff might not know much about the bride-to-be as of yet, but the Lay Stewards at St George’s Chapel of Windsor Castle, where the royal ceremony will be held, were reportedly told to binge watch Suits in order to familiarize themselves with Markle’s friends and former coworkers.

This won’t be Markle’s last royal Christmas event this year. The couple will reportedly stay at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Norfolk home for the few exciting days. On Christmas Eve, the two young couples will spend time with the Queen at Sandringham House, and on Christmas Day, they will eat a traditional Christmas breakfast, attend church, and then dine on some roast turkeys with Princess Charlotte and Prince George. Happy Holidays to the Mountbatten-Windsors.
