MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have swiped a new crown from Prince William and Kate, according to a new study.
The Sussexes boasted nearly seven times more hashtags than the average for all royal couples on the list.
The couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020, and live in the US with their two children – Archie, two, and Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana who turns one in June.
Meghan and Harry were also recently named by Time magazine as among the world’s 100 most influential people which commended the couple for being active humanitarians, and said: “they turn compassion into boots on the ground through their Archewell Foundation.”

A spokesperson for Printique commented on the findings: “Royal couples are a source of fascination all over the world, and this data shows just how much online influence they can command.
“Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are an absolute global sensation, from their charity work and commitment to making the world a better place to their fashion sense and style.
“The fact that this Royal duo pulls in the most Instagram hashtags combined is a testimony to their powerful influence all around the world.”
Ranking in second for the most photogenic royal couple was Prince William, 39, and his wife Kate, 40.

Kate, who is famous for her simple yet chic style, is also the most Instagrammable royal woman ever.
The Duchess fetched 1.3 million hashtags on the app by herself.
Kate’s 40th birthday was publicly marked by Kensington Palace recently with the release of three stunning new portraits by Paolo Roversi.

Ranking in the third spot is the Queen, 95, and her late husband Prince Philip who boast 1.4 million Instagram hashtags.
This year Her Majesty celebrates her Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years as Head of State.
Her historic milestone will be marked by a series of celebrations and events up and down the country, concluding with a four-day Bank Holiday weekend in June.

Despite the now public knowledge of the unhappiness of their marriage, Charles and Diana were the most famous royal couple in the world for many years.
In the fifth spot is Prince Albert of Monaco and Princess Charlene, and the Monegasque Royal Family have over 184,000 Instagram hashtags to their names.
King Felipe of Spain and Queen Letizia also rank high on the list of most Instagrammable royal couples, fetching over 100,000 hashtags.
