Meghan Markle and Prince Harry SNUBBED in favour of new neighbour Princess Eugenie?
MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry live together at Nottingham Cottage in Kensington Palace, and have recently been joined by Princess Eugenie and her fiancee Jack Brooksbank.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have two new neighbours in the form of Princess Eugenie, 28, and Jack Brooksbank, 31.
Both engaged couples currently live in properties in the grounds of Kensington Palace in London.
While Eugenie has lived at her property, Ivy Cottage, for two years, Jack Brooksbank has now joined his fiancee Eugenie in the property, People magazine confirmed today.
But is their new home likely to annoy Meghan and Harry? After all, Ivy Cottage – a three bedroom property – is much larger than the two bed Nottingham Cottage.
Prince Harry – who is now sixth in line to the throne – appears to have been given one of the “smallest” royal properties compared to Eugenie, who is ninth in line.
“It’s thought to be one of the smallest residences within the palace grounds,” reported Woman and Home.
The property contains two bedrooms, a small living room, a bathroom and a reception room, according to the publication.
It is believed Princess Eugenie pays “market rent” for the property, which is worth around £182,000 a year in rent, according to Daily Mail.
However, it is rumoured Prince Harry will be gifted a further property upon his marriage to Meghan.
It is believed the Queen will gift the couple York Cottage, which is based in the Queen’s private grounds in Sandringham, according to 9News.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been given a smaller property than Princess Eugenie
The property, which is currently being used as an estate office for Sandringham, is said to be reserved for Harry and Meghan after their wedding.
It is expected Harry and his future wife will use the property as a holiday home.
Similarly, the Queen gifted Anmer Hall, a luxury house on her Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, to Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2013 – two years after their wedding.
Last month, Meghan Markle broke the Queen’s only rule when it comes to style, with weeks to go until the royal wedding.
It appears Meghan broke the Queen’s ‘only’ requirement in a specific area of royal conduct
Prince Harry’s fianceé Meghan wore a low cut dress today which she styled with bare legs.
The style move, while appropriate for the hot weather today, broke the Queen’s protocol for how royals must dress.
The Queen’s ‘only’ rule with regards to what female members of the royal family wear in public is that they were clear nude stockings when they are on public duty.
The Queen’s royal rule was revealed by royal expert Victoria Arbiter in an interview with Insider magazine.
She told the publication: “You never see a royal without their nude stockings.
“I would say that’s really the only hard, steadfast rule in terms of what the Queen requires.”
