Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah included ‘over 30 lies’, Duke’s biographer claims

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sat down for a interview with Oprah Winfrey in March last year.

“He said ‘oh no, this was before we were married’, now have you ever heard of anyone saying before a couple got married, what colour will your children’s skin be, they don’t know if they’re getting engaged, if they’re getting married, they don’t know if they can have children.

“It’s nonsense, it’s a non-starter but that’s what it is, this award for heroism is for absolutely nothing, it’s for the Oprah interview, which doesn’t have any proof.”

She added that “another thing they complain about is not understanding mental health”.

Ms Levin said: “Well, since Harry and William and Catherine had a platform about mental health, I don’t believe that’s right.”

Following Meghan opening up about her own mental health struggles in the interview, Ms Levin said: “I’m not saying she wasn’t depressed but it’s not the fault of the Palace.

“It outrages me, I can’t tell you, they’ve got their fame, they’ve got their fortune because of the Royal Family, and it’s hundreds and hundreds of millions, isn’t it?

“It’s just too ghastly for words that they behave like spoilt teenagers.”

In the Oprah interview, Meghan claimed that conversations had taken place and questions had arisen regarding the colour of her then-unborn son’s skin.

The couple chose not to name the member of the Royal Family that allegedly made the comments, although Harry stated that it was not the late Queen or Prince Philip.

Prior to the interview, Meghan and Harry had been based in the US for a year, following their royal exit in early 2020.

In January 2020, the couple announced their decision to step down as senior working royals, which according to them, happened following “many months of reflection and internal discussions”.

The pair have since released additional comments about their experience within the Royal Family which have further fuelled division within the family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to the UK in September and remained for three weeks following the death of the late Queen, sparking hope of reunification after they appeared alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales to greet mourners.

But with Prince Harry’s memoir set to be released in January, and the couple’s new Netflix docuseries expected to drop in a few weeks, experts have warned peace is unlikely to be struck in the short term.
