Kate and William US trip shows ‘less stuffy’ royal values

Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales are admired for their strength in the US as they look to separate modern royalty from its “stuffy” past, a royal expert has said.

Speaking to, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said the Waleses show signs of “modernising the monarchy” by “being more relatable, attainable and less stuffy”.

The editor of To Di For Daily said: “I believe that Americans recognise and admire their strength. We absolutely adore the Prince and Princess of Wales and want them to know that they are always welcome and celebrated here in the United States.”

Ms Schofield, who is based in the US, also said the Waleses “should make this trip more often”.

Meghan and Harry ‘may refer’ to Buckingham Palace race scandal at upcoming award ceremony

Daily Mail Diary Editor Richard Eden believes there is the possibility Meghan and Prince Harry will mention the scandal which brought Lady Susan Hussey – a long-term member of the Royal Household, godmother of Prince William and lady-in-waiting of late Queen Elizabeth II – to resign on Wednesday if they attend the Ripple of Hope Award Gala on December 6.

The two royals are among the recipients of the Ripple of Hope Awards this year and, president of the association Kerry Kennedy said, they had been recognised for their courage in speaking up against “structural racism” in the Royal Family.

Appearing on Mail +’s Palace Confidential, Richard Eden said: “I really do think that Harry and Meghan will be loving the race row at Buckingham Palace because it vindicates their fears and what they’ve said before. It gives them evidence for their complaints.

“They are due to get this Human Rights award, and Kerry Kennedy has said it’s because of them standing up to racism and that kind of thing. So we’ll see what they say when they collect the award. I hope they don’t, but they may refer to the events we saw [on Wednesday].”

GMB slammed for ‘wasting airtime’ with Meghan and Harry coverage

Friday’s Good Morning Britain’s segment dedicated to Meghan and Prince Harry’s Netflix docu-series divided viewers.

Taking to Twitter, Lesley Peachey fumed: “Why are you wasting any time on these two wicked, selfish greedy idiots? They don’t deserve any airtime or any other time come to think of it. They completely disgust me, Charles needs to strip them of everything now. They are just so evil.” (sic)

Sarah Jane Lever said: “GMB stop plugging Harry and Megan they are a disgrace to the royal family! They are just out to line their pockets.”

Other viewers, however, stepped in to defend Prince Harry and Meghan’s Netflix show.

Charnelle McLean tweeted: “I can’t wait to watch it”.

Meghan and Harry fire ‘strategic missile’ to overshadow Kate and William’s US visit

The timing of the release of the first-ever trailer of the Netflix docu-series Harry & Meghan, which promises a behind-the-scenes look at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s struggles and joys, will spark “a further level of frustration and irritation” among royal supporters and the Firm as it had the potential to overshadow the Prince and Princess of Wales’ trip to Boston, according to a commentator.

PR and reputation management expert Eric Schiffer described the minute-long preview as a “strategic missile” fired to steal the attention Americans, Britons and people around the world were paying to Kate and Prince William.

He told “This was a strategic missile to interrupt the attention of William and Kate and translate it into further financial benefit to Harry and Meghan.

“And will provoke a further level of frustration and irritation because of what is seen to be an overshadowing of the monarchy.”

The California-based expert went on to claim the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “trying to steal the show” while Harry’s brother and sister-in-law are in the US.
