The 35-year-old gave birth at the exclusive maternity unit at St Mary’s Hospital.
The baby boy was born on Monday at 1.58pm, weighing 8lb and 9oz.
Pippa, who married James Matthews last year, was spotted entering the maternity wing yesterday.
Kensington Palace released a statement saying that Pippa’s sister Kate and Prince William are “thrilled” for the new parents.
The statement said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James.”
The newborn will be the cousin of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
James’s family said in a statement that Pippa and her baby were both doing well.
The statement said: “Everyone is delighted and Mother and baby are doing well.”

Pippa’s baby boy weighed 8lb and 9oz, which makes him heavier than any of the Cambridge children at birth.
Prince Louis, born in April 2018, weighed more than George or Charlotte at 8lb 7oz.
Middle child Charlotte tipped the scales at 8lb 3oz when she was born in May 2015.
Eldest and heir to the throne, George, was the lightest on his arrival in 2013, weighing 8lb 6oz.
