Princess Eugenie and fiance Jack Brooksbank attend lavish wedding ahead of their nuptials
PRINCESS Eugenie and her fiance Jack Brooksbank have arrived for the wedding of Charlie van Straubenzee and filmmaker Daisy Jenks at St Mary the Virgin Church in Frensham, Surrey.
Their attendence at the today’s wedding comes ahead of their own Royal Wedding on October 12, the second Royal Wedding of the year following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s on May 19.
Meghan and Harry, who is a close friend of Mr van Straubenzee, are also among the guests today.
Charlie, who was an usher at Harry’s wedding, is said to have struck up a friendship with Harry when they both attended Ludgrove Prep School in Berkshire.
It is understood the Duke of Sussex has returned the favour and is an usher at Mr van Straubenzee’s wedding today.
Princess Eugenie looked stunning in a pastel blue dress and cream jacket as she arrived on the arm of Mr Brooksbank.
The Queen’s granddaughter was sporting an artsy pair of sunglasses, which looked a lot like googles, which she later removed before entering the church.
Earlier this week Princess Eugenie revealed more details about her Royal Wedding in a joint interview with her sister Princess Beatrice.
Eugenie confirmed her sister will be her maid of honour when she weds Mr Brooksbank in St George’s Chapel In Windosr Castle, the same church where Meghan and Harry were married.
In an interview with Vogue, Princess Beatrice said her sister Eugenie was “amazing” and a “very modern bride” – and said she had not turned into a typical “bridezilla”.
Speaking about her approaching wedding, Eugenie replied: “I’m not stressed at all.
“It’s nerve-racking because you want it to be perfect, but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters.”
The bride said that she would be banning plastic at her wedding to Mr Brooksbank after her work with Project Zero, an environmental charity that protects marine life.
Princess Eugenie’s wedding reception will be held at her family’s home, the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
The royal couple have announced that 1,200 people will be welcomed into the grounds of Windsor Castle on their wedding day.
